Last week Appalachian State scored its 10th straight postseason victory with a 38 - 35 victory over Eastern Washington. This Friday they advance to the National semi-final game in Boone against the University of Richmond.

Richmond has the nation's longest winning streak, 8 games, and comes to Kidd-Brewer stadium after a 21-10 victory over Wofford College, a team who defeated ASU earlier in the season.

The game, orginally scheduled for Saturday, was changed by the NCAA to Friday night when the University of Delaware football team, scheduled to play Southern Illinois in the other semi-final game this weekend, was stranded in Iowa by an ice storm after their defeat of #1 ranked Northern Iowa last weekend.

The team was still in Iowa as of Sunday night and was scheduled to return home Monday afternoon.
