The Best Cellar (at the Inn at Ragged Gardens)

The Best Cellar used to be located on the outskirts of Blowing Rock behind the Food Lion Shopping Center. After the building burned down the restaurant moved to the Inn at Ragged Gardens. On the upscale side of Blowing Rock restaurants. Extensive menu and wine list.

This restaurant is located near the park in the building that used to house Dockside Ira's restaurant. Their menu includes fresh fish, beef chicken and homemade pizzas. According to their website:

After 50 years, Sonny's Grill closed in 2009.

Sonny's is an old fashioned grill that has been serving breakfast and lunch for 50 years. They are famous for their Ham Biscuits and Sweet Potato Pancakes. For lunch try one of Sonny's Hamburgers and a cold soda in a bottle. Serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week.

The building is listed on the Register of Historic Places. A nice setting and an interesting menu with fresh ingredients. Turn down the path near Kilwin's and take the walkway to the restaurant.
